Woolwich Town Centre - Met Engage Event

On 17 and 18 December, the Woolwich Town Centre Team with assistance from officers from wards across Greenwich and Royal Borough Greenwich Safer Spaces officers, were based on Green's End SE18 to provide information about Met Engage and any other local issues.  Despite the miserable weather on Thursday, there were lots of “sign ups” from local residents and businesses to Met Engage and we are grateful to all those who stopped by to speak to us.

Wednesday and Thursday have also enabled us to increase patrols in the Town Centre, providing reassurance and support to shoppers and local  businesses over the busy Christmas period.  These patrols will continue on the run up to Christmas.  Thanks again to those of you who approached us to discuss the increased police presence in Woolwich.
